Sula Wine was founded in 1999 by Rajeev Samant. He started the growth of Indian wine as Nashik’s first winery, and started the trend of winemaking in what is now India’s Wine Capital.

Fast forward 25 years and Sula Wine is now India’s leading wine company, leading the charge of Indian wine across the world.
Rajeev is a true environmentalist, and ensures that the total process of winemaking at Sula Wine is directed by sustainability and in the protection the environment.
After spending three months in 1994 working at a small vineyard in California owned by his friend and mentor, Kerry Damskey, Rajeev was determined to grow his own grapes in Nashik, his homeland and so set about creating Sula wine, even convincing Kerry to become his head winemaker!
